These Puff Pastry Glazed Donuts are just simply amazing! They taste a lot like Krispy Cream, and only require a few ingredients. We devoured these donuts in less than an hour... These donuts were definitely a hit, you have to try these.
Most enjoyable with:
milk
tea
coffee
orange juice
Ingredients for this recipe:
2 sheets Puff Pastry, thawed
2 cups Powdered Sugar
3 tablespoons Milk
1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
Vegetable Oil, for frying (about 4 cups)
Instructions:
Lay out puff pastry dough onto a lightly floured surface. Do not take a rolling pin to it, or donuts will be flat.
Cut circles out of puff pastry sheets using two different cookie cutters, a large circle for the outside and a smaller circle for the center. (You could use a glass cup and a pipping tip as well)
3. Fill a large pot with an inch of vegetable oil and heat over medium-high heat. Cook donuts, flipping when one side is golden. Donuts should only cook for about one minute, no more.
4. In a medium size bowl, whisk 2 cups powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons milk, and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract until smooth.
5. Dip doughnuts into glaze and set onto a cooling rack with parchment paper underneath, allowing extra glaze can drip off.
